Taiwo Arifayan is a Documentary photographer based in Lagos, Nigeria, whose work focuses on contemporary social issues affecting human lives, technology, and culture. His work seeks to spark thought and evoke emotion, driven by curiosity and a passion for storytelling.
His works have been exhibited internationally, including at exhibitions such as Black History Month at London West Gallery, University of Westminster, The New Comma Photo Exhibition, London, and the Moment In Time Exhibition at Dikan Gallery, Sea Point Exhibition Capetown, South Africa, among others. His work has also been widely published in Ebony Magazine USA, Lost in Lagos, Zikoko, Tender Photo, Amnesty, and other prestigious platforms.
He has collaborated and worked with prominent international Organizations like Ebony, Bloomberg, Campari, Amnesty International, The Earthshotprize, RFI, UNICEF, and SunKing. etc
Taiwo holds a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and Literature from Kogi State University. He is a professional member of Diversify Photo and the African Photojournalism Database (APJD), a World Press Photo Initiatives and Everyday Africa.
