Voters Voices in Accra is a visual story that explores the complex fabric of civic participation and determination at the core of Accra Ghana. This Ongoing project aims to spotlight the hopes and aspirations of first-time and seasoned voters who, with anticipation and belief, cast their ballots to shape the destiny of their country. It also exposes a shadowy underbelly that tarnishes the democratic process — the insidious practice of vote buying to manipulate voters through illicit means.

On October 3, 2023, Ghanaians marched in unity, numbering in the hundreds, to protest and demand the removal of Ghana's central bank governor amid accusations of mismanagement during the country's worst debt crisis and corruption on the part of some government officials. This event serves as a testament to the power that people have to speak to those in power and demand accountability when they fall short, their voices, no longer confined to the ballot box, find resonance in protest, which is believed to be a powerful tool to hold the government accountable.

This project captures the raw, unyielding determination of individuals who refuse to be mere spectators in their democracy.
